The three main colour pallets on this contents page are, red black and white. They all make eachother stand out and contrast well together to get the main messages across. Along the side is a index informing the reader what each page consists of making it easier and more officent. By doing this the reader can therefore go straight to the page which they are interested in. There is no layering upon this part as it is important and covering the words will make it unclear. By placing a picture of a well known band brings fans to want to buy the magazine as well. As it is in the middle it is the main attraction as it is also large, the writing is placed around the picture and underneith where there is a breif discription of why the picture of the band is featured. There are fonts which are alot larger than others due to their importance and the more information there is the smaller the font usually is so it doesnt take up too much space of the page. The masterhead isnt covered at all this is because is it informin the reader what the page contains however straight below is the picture which will be where the reader next looks when scanning the page. This indicates that they are the next most important part on the contents page. The red writing seems to be the more important parts of the text as it highlights the title name, and then list of pages in which the magazine contains, also a red arrow is layered behind the to make the viewer read onto the next page. The main image of Kasabian is of them playing which is appropriate and usually used and set in music magazines as it sets the tome for the theme.
