Contents Page Analysis 2.

For the Q magazine the contents page is set out a little bit more tidy having everything boxed together to where they are relevent to eachother. The title and subject of the page is clearly stated at the top with the logo of the magazine next to it making it very clear and noticable. Again like the NME magazine the main feature of the page are set out in red as it is very bright and noticable, and is reoccuring in the analysing of the magazines. The image takes over most of the contents page therefore intending that the band are the main feature in the magazine all together, they are reasonable smartly dressed with a typical rock band look however they dont have their instruments just making a statement by standing in a stue pose making a strong message come across from them, as a group it makes them look powerful and strong together giving the indication that they are a good band let along knowing their name and the music. Their photograph will bring fans to read the magazine raise publicity. The only layering on the page is feature on the photograph to which is a sort of caption to the photo giving a brief discription telling the reader what the photograph is, this is a very formal way and is useful. The three main colour pallets are red, white and grey again. White is used as the background as it allows anything to stand out and for text to be read clearly, it also give a clean more mature effect in my eyes. Set towards the side is a list like NME's where page numbers and brief discriptions of the information that is featured on the pages. The fontsa for the subheadings are in capitals as well as highlighted in red to make them stand out even more to the reader. The font also seems very boxed out like the layout to make it clearer.
